Notes mentioned in Knoxville News Sentinel

December 10, 2007 by stampley

“Students need great literature,” says News Sentinel columnist Ina Hughs. In her 11/25/07 column, Hughs praises Notes from a Classroom for showing how encountering great literature “can save minds and, in some cases, lives.” Click the link above to read Hughs’ full column about education, literature and Notes — a book “organized around journal entries from a teacher who loves her job and works hard at it, who brings out the best in her students by giving them the best of herself – not because it’s her job, but because it’s her calling.”
